This part from my brake booster has air being sucked into it and I'm not sure if its responsible for my slight idle issue. is this part suppose to have air being sucked into it? when I put my finger over it I can feel the air being sucked into it.

if anyone can help that would be great.

Thanks

- Daniel

  • i may have a similar problem. i have a 2002 bmw e46 325ci.... when i press the brakes.. i hear a hissing noise, as if air is being released. when i release the brakes, the air noise disappears or i hear it very faint.. just a slight hiss. Sometimes when the traffic light turns green and press on the gas, the car turns off. did you experience the same thing? did you fix the problem?

  • The little vacuum nipple & cap have broken off.
