Gloria (TV series)

Gloria was a spin-off television situation comedy that lasted one season on CBS, from September 1982 to September 1983. It starred Sally Struthers, reprising her role as Gloria Bunker Stivic, the daughter of Archie Bunker on the hugely successful 1970s sitcom All in the Family.

The setup of the show was that Gloria had been left at loose ends after her husband, Michael Stivic (who did not appear in the new series), left her and moved away to a commune. (Some viewers thought that this was somewhat of a contrived story about Michael, as over the run of All in the Family he became more conservative and seemingly had left his "hippie" past behind him). Gloria, to be closer to her father, decided to move with her young son, Joey (played by Christian Jacobs), and pick up the pieces of her life as an assistant to two veterinarians in Fox Ridge, New York.

This was kind of sad, the show didn't last and 'Archie Bunkers Place' was soon going off the air.,and NO final episode. I guess the series died a quiet death!

@telamon2011 really back then i would think aldutery is one of those things they dont talk about. and those "cousin" roy thing telling her they arent really cousins what did he wait untill then to tell ths to her and then wanted to kiss her? ewww that would eel the same as kissing your cousin being so close after all this time. just gross

Yes, Bud Kreiger! Funny, though, all the characters in All In The Family at one time toyed with the idea of adultery, even Edith (first with "Cousin" Roy at the wedding in Scranton, and then the German butcher, Mr. Klemmer, though they did most of the chasing); Archie, of course, had Denise the waitress, which almost got out of hand; and Mike, first with Linda, his student (played by Bernadette Peters), and in the end, he DID leave Gloria with another student to join the commune!
