A: The lovely and talented Mermaid Jewel (http://www.youtube.com/user/Dreammystic) She is now taking custom tail orders (prices on her page)- I HIGHLY recommend her as her prices are some of the best on the internet, and she makes each tail with the mermaid in mind. See her page for more details.

Q: Is there a monofin in your tail?
A: Yes- a Tempo by Finis to be precise. They cost an average of $50, but you can find them for less if you look around on the internet.

Q:What is the tail made of?
A: Lycra (swim suit) material- it can be found online and at most any fabric store for cheap.

Q: Can you show us how to make a tail?

have you ever tried using a one piece with your tail? I prefer a one piece over a bikini. Would the fabric slip if I wore it with a mermaid tail, or would it be fine? Just wondering...

@Aerodil I know Little Orca wears a one piece when she swims with her tail, and she doesn't seem to have any trouble with it. It looks less like a one piece, and more like you're wearing a tank top with your tail (which I think looks just fine!).

You can order the tail so it comes with the monofin, but I happened to have mine already. Mermaid Jewel has prices listed for tails with or without the monofin on her page.

@kelseykate588 I know this is a bit late, but it really depends on the person, and which they prefer. Personally, I like greens and blues, but other people may like other colors. So whichever you like, is the color that looks best on a tail.
