Giorgio Moroder & Chris Bennett - Theme From Midnight Express (1978)
Chris Bennett was not directly credited on the soundtrack to the film 'Midnight Express', written and produced by Giorgio Moroder in 1978, though these are her vocals.
During the late 70s and especially during the early 80s, Moroder focussed a lot of his time producing soundtracks for motion pictures such as 'Midnight Express', 'Cat People', 'The Neverending Story', 'Scarface' and 'Flashdance'.
'Midnight Express' was his first venture into scoring a movie, and as well as this haunting tune, the soundtrack featured one of Moroder's most famous works 'The Chase'.
It's not exactly the most upbeat track, but the melody, arrangement and vocals make it a pleasant listen, albeit moody.
