I'm depressed because of the 3 strikes policy. 3 strikes of you visiting a site (maybe even just a blog) they don't want you to visit, and your paying for no internet connection. Comcast sucks.
-
A few, sure. But when a person is pissed at Comcast for screwing up access to Netflix, then switch to Verizon that screws up access to something else, but still has Netflix. They wouldn't be fighting against this if they didn't care.

@AmericanNohbuddy "And when all providers do that?" That could only happen if users are happy with what their provider is doing. If you see that your competition lost many subscribers when they began limiting sites, then you must be very stupid to do the same.
-
And when all providers do that? Or when Comcast slows down or cuts off access to Netflix? You'll switch to a new provider that would then cut off access or slow down access to another website you like?
-
This is bullshit. Just change your provider...

@MrTripi that's the definition of Net Neutrality on wikipedia.

A vote for Net Neutrality is NOT a vote for some drastic new changes to the internet's structure, it's a vote for maintaining the status quo. All these bullshit arguments about Google toppling Yahoo then enforcing NN so they can stay on top have absolutely no merit what so ever.
"The principle advocates no restrictions by Internet service providers and governments on content, sites, platforms, the kinds of equipment that may be attached, and the modes of communication"

@farblonjet It's not that I have a problem with skepticism; I would just prefer it if the most outspoken half of this country would acknowledge and accept the FACT that the world is far too complex for any single person to comprehend. If my congressman is going to decide which scientific budget should be cut, I'd rather a panel of directly/indirectly elected scientist decide which should go. Joe the Plumber doesn't understand NN but so long as he's intelligent enough to admit it-that's ok.
Just imagine a world where you can no longer go anywhere you want on the internet. A world where your favorite website takes 5 minutes to load.
If your blood isn't boiling, you're far too apathetic.
