1. Plasma and LCD technology - whats the difference?
Plasma and LCD panels may look alike, but the flat screen and thin profile is where the similarities end. Plasma screens, as its name suggests, uses a matrix of tiny gas plasma cells charged by precise electrical voltages to create a picture. LCD screens (liquid crystal display) are in laymans terms sandwiches made up of liquid crystal pushed in the space between two glass plates. Images are created by varying the amount electrical charge applied to the crystals. Each technology has its strengths and weaknesses, as youll read below.

HD Rear Projectors have a far supperior picture quality to both plasma and LCD. The electricity bill will be cheaper as well. If the screen looks moggy just take it off wash it with a mixture of vinegar a white spirit window cleaner and some baking soda mixed together in warm water. The picture doesn't blurr. The downside is that tv repair shops don't like fixing them. JVC 70 inch £500 on ebay uk. Or try Gumtree. If Plasma or LCD breaks they cannot be fixed at all. Just stay away from LG.

i have a rear projection t.v. and i need tech support right now cause the screen went black... i spent $600 last year to have a guy come out and clean the tubes... i don't know how to open it up to check the lamps...

Dude my tv is snowy as hell. I actually had an accumulation of of 1 to 3 inches in my living room.any suggestion's? And don't say try shovelling!
