This time lapse video was shot at the 46th Street - Bliss Street Station platform of the 7 Train in over Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside, Queens, New York City on August 18, 2010, between 7:49pm and 8:35pm, at 1 second per frame setting. The official sunset for that day was 7:49pm with civil twilight ends at 8:18pm. Footage was shot using JVC Everio GZ-HM320 HD camcorder. thanks for the info on your camera, I'm in the market for a Sony or JVC Everio. It's just amazing at the quality of the camera you are using. maybe you can post other videos with different settings, but so far I'm sold with this one.

I actually had a Sony TRV-20 back in the mini-dv days of early 2000s. Had it not been the fact that I wanted to time lapse video and discovered that my Sony doesn't have that feature, I wouldn't have bought the JVC. Although Sony do make time lapse camcorder in HD 1080p30, their price range were much higher than JVC's. Depending on how much you are willing to spend, Sony's equivalent would probably offer better feature. i.e., 1080p rather than 1080i, and Remote ready. Good luck.

The LIRR passes here wow so harminous, summer sunsets over nyc are spectacular, and rare form of nature, I can slightly see the pollution at sunset time
