@MissouriCowgirl , keeping alive the idea that we can punch out boxes of protein? I don't think so. Rodeo today shows the death of stockmanship and horsemanship. Too bad. Explain the rationale behind the "Wild Horse Race". Please.

I especially like 1:05 when the big strong cowboy throws down the 3-month-old baby calf. What a man! I'll bet his mama is so proud he can manhandle a baby animal like that.

do you people know that the bulls/broncs are worth thousands? no decent rodeo contractor is going to allow his animals to be hurt. it cost too much $. these are not "give away" animals or "throw away" animals. 8 seconds of riding how many times a year? and what do they do the rest of the time? EAT and RELAX.

i live in oregon. i was born and raised in salinas. i work in the vip tent at the rodeo seven years straight. i can't wait to see committee people in july!

ditto. just about everything but bull riding and barrels, but an everyday thing on a ranch. still is :D roping to brand or catch battle, bronc riding, what is your horse gets hot?! :P ect. it's pretty cool when you compare rodeos to ranching
