Fell in Love with a Girl is the 2nd single released from The White Stripes 3rd album White Blood Cells.

Released in 2002, it reached #121 in the US & #21 in the UK.

The music video is a LEGO-style animation, directed by Michel Gondry. It has won several MTV Video Music Awards.

The video is shot frame by frame with each frame having the LEGO bricks rebuilt, sometimes in a complex manner to seem as if it were an actual shot, and then formed together to give the illusion of motion.

The video is considered to be one of the most complex videos using LEGO bricks ever made. As it turns out only half of the video was shot with Lego bricks, the other half was filmed and then digitalized.

  • lego on lsd

  • asome

  • @WasabiMadhouse Jack White actually had approached Lego about making one, but they turned it down because they didn't think the song would be popular enough to make a set profitable. And then it was, and Lego contacted Jack about it, and he essentially told them to piss off because they missed their chance.

  • @DejaViewed I don't think he realizes that this is Michel Gondry's career to do this. Or who Michel Gondry is.

  • You DO realize this was the official music video and had a team of 15 animators or so, right?

  • lol dude why does it matter if they had time on their hands at least hes using it. and most people arent commited to this kinds of stuff and who knows how long this took... it could hav taken like a month and just like commit 1 hour to 2 i guess every day an that would be 28 - 56 hours of commitmnt in a month and thats a lot

  • Whomever did this has so much extra time on their hands that we should be worried, even though they did some parts with a computer simulation. I myself have tried lego animation, and each and every frame is a blow to your sanity! This video must have had thousands, even millions of frames! After all that, this guy might need to put himself in an institution. But, he made a pretty kick-a video!

  • Damn just. Damn.....

  • awesome!
