Why do people react so much.... It's the reaction that's gives substance to the issue.... If a child was told that she has some disorder that's wrong... But parents can be told that fact... It gives them a chance to take measures to eliminate it.... Bottom line is, it's better than indoctrinating children about burning in he'll for eternity
I'm grateful for the specifics your comments have brought forward...there are many psychiatric "experts" such as the turncoat, presently pro-psych medicine E. Fuller Torrey spreading the (apparently wrong) word that these drugs are consistently preventing violence when patients will submit to them. But these are the "efficient" solutions that SOTA practice requires, and that US medical insurance will pay for, above all else.
I don't know if I emphasized above how this 'screening' might result in a number of 'false positive' results, marring kid's self image and wrecking their self-esteem for years, thereby creating far more trouble than it prevented.
Running everybody through this interviewing process is an absurd, "cheap and dirty" way to try to establish or disestablish who might have a mental illness. Children are highly suggestible, and shouldn't be all that hard to identify if they have a serious problem, which in childhood, may be quite transitory. I think the US gov't. has taken the satirical stereotype of a 'Columbine' killer and run amok with it.
TeenScreen is a scheme by Big Pharma and psychiatry to hook normal children on powerful psycho-tropic drugs for life. It is the epitome of EVIL and parents must resist and fight this madness!

Well something even further overlooked is that one of the Columbine killers was ON antidepressants.
