Homemade Strat style guitar blues test

i made a strat from a kit on musicking.com

turned out alright

i replaced the humbucker it cam with with a kent armstrong HR0-1A
and the single coils with split rails from axesrus.com

my playin aint the best and there isnt a vid to go with this so i just put a photot up


all recorded with my mac in garage band using the strat for both guitar parts and midi for the drums

to be honest you'd be better off buying a cheap strat and putting new electrics in it n you'll get a better out of it

but if you want the experience of building the kit then there worth it,

there are some very vague instructions that come with the kits but most of the assembly is self explanatory.

Hi there :) i would like to ask how pickups from axesrus is? i mean are they just cheap dirt, or are they worth spending money on?

hey it depends wat u buy, i havent been on there in a while but they did have some top brand name pickups as well as there cheap chinese/korean made ones. u'd probably be better off in the long run buyin some Irongear pickups that are around £24 each, or some GFS ones.

dam youtube it seems to get louder n quieter for no reason must be the rubbsih compression they use
