UCLA Proffesor Kent Wong on DREAM Act: "This is racism"

On December 9, the director of the UCLA Labor Center, Kent Wong, gave a speech at a press conference about the DREAM Act at the center near downtown LA expressing why the "minority is trying to block progress".

"[There's] antimmigrant hysterica among certain Repuclican leaders," Wong said. "It is racism. If these young immigrants were from Ireland, Italy, or Germany, we would not have this massive out cry against the DREAM Act."

"It is because they are from Latin America, Asia, they're re students are color that they majority of the senate is trying to block the will of the majority."
