Mulans Decision Score

I absolutely adore movie scores. Vocal songs are okay, but honestly, there is something about instrumentals that I find appealing. It's easier to visualize images while listening to music, which is why it helps to listen while reading and writing. Hence, the reason I am posting random (and hard to find) music here for your listening pleasure.




The soundtrack version of the music used in the scene where Mulan decides to join the army to save her father. It's interesting to note that the music used in the film was apparently on a special (and very limited) two disc release of the soundtrack, as seen here: http://www.filmtracks.com/titles/mulan.html

The regular soundtrack is still in print, seeing as how Disney CDs stay on the shelf forever. So go buy the CD or borrow it from your library. It's easier than it sounds. I got mine from Best Buy.
Note: Mulan is the property of Walt Disney Animation and the musical score is by the late great Jerry Goldsmith. I have no idea who did the illustration used.

I like this version as well!! I can easily picture her again. :) I like the synth version better, though.

I agree that the synthesizer arrangement is more appropriate for the scene but since I've listened to it so many times to the point of desensitization, listening to this version has been refreshing. It sends chills down my spine. :)

Hmm...I wonder why they chose this version, I kind of prefer the other one, and I usually don't prefer synth, but this simply doesn't strike the same epic chord for me. =/ Huh...oh well.
