Do you draw a card every turn including the first turn? And also do you ever have more than 7 cards in your hand at a time?

The person who goes first does not draw a card on his first turn. The person that goes second does draw a card on her first turn to make up for the disadvantage of having to go second. Both players draw a card at the beginning of every other turn for the rest of the game.

You can have more than seven during your turn (for example, after you draw but before you've played anything yet) but you have to discard down to seven when your turn ends.

Hope this helps!

The basic rules state that you can only play 1 creature per turn. Same thing goes for an instant, sorcery, or land card.
