Because of a growing interest in ChanWuYi and Wugulun Kungfu, the Shaolin Wugulun Academy is organizing two special training camps for foreign students this year.

These events are unique in that, instead of focusing only on kungfu training, they cover all three of the traditional Shaolin treasures of Chan (Zen meditation), Wu (kungfu training) and Yi (health and traditional medicine). The camps will therefore combine spiritual and martial training, which are traditionally inseparable, and the study of traditional Shaolin healing methods.

During your stay you will visit several interesting places and go on special trips to discover and experience many aspects of traditional Shaolin culture. You will visit old Buddhist and Taoist monasteries such as the Shaolin Temple, the San Huang Zhai Monastery and the Zhongyue Temple, and travel to the famous Longmen caves in Luoyang.

Master Wu Nanfang will take you into the mountains to show which herbs and plants can be used as medicine, give lectures on Buddhism, calligraphy and kungfu history, and teach you Shaolin Chan (Zen) meditation. He will also show you how Shaolin kungfu was developed from movements originally used for farming by the Shaolin monks in ancient times.
