@gottaluvbirds I started with 1 tiel when I first started owning birds then got a 2nd one about 5 years later. Since then I've been mixing up the species I own. I haven't committed to a parrot myself yet, because I know I just don't have the time or space to properly give it the amount of play and exercise it needs to live a happy life. Especially since I have a finicky Indian Ringneck who gets jealous of others, so I have to make sure any new animal I introduce she will like first.

I have an 4 year old male eclectus and he does the same thing. He will yell and charge at anyone who puts their belongings on the floor, esp. purses, then tries to pick them back up. He also does the same thing to the vacuum cleaner. It is so funny. He will charge at the vacuum with his wings up then bite it. It is harmless and he enjoys playing and showing us who the boss is. Don't worry about what others say. I love that you are playing with your parrot and that he isn't caged up.

@ghazwan13 Personally, I would NOT recommend a large parrot to anyone who has never owned a bird before. I'd be surprised if a breeder would even sell an inexperienced bird owner a parrot. Start small and work your way up. There are a host of intelligent and fun birds of smaller stature, that are easy to take care of, require less maintenance, and can talk without making loud noise. I would recommend a Parrotlet. Larger birds can develop behavioral problems if not properly attended to.

that bird is fine, in the wild they would forage on their own with their mates close by, so playing hide and seek with their care taker, would be like regrouping with their mates and flock, this owner knows what they are doing.

shut up. its stupid people like you who call "ABUSE ABUSE OMG" over nothing that piss me off.
JUST SHUT UP. you know what is abuse? have you heard the story about these horrible people that bought a blue and gold macaw and left it in a basement for 20 years in a cage that's too small for it? its beak grew into a circle and they had to trim its nails because it grew around the perch.
THAT is abuse.
not this.

I <3 YOU COUCH!
Ohhhh come on people LMFAO. you guys are acting like she threw it off of a building or a bridge.....she didnt lay a hand on the bird she was just letting it follow her around and playing with it hiding behind the door. There was ZERO inflicted pain upon the bird. He was probably just like 'wtf' if anything,
are you blind? she was feeding and holding it in the beginning....theres nothing wrong with what was in this video. Maybe it shouldn't be done often, but playing hide n seek is FINE.
