The Trinity... God... Three... One... Three equal figures...

with identical faces, carrying equal staffs of authority, none more important than another... One God enthroned, but not, as a human king, at the end of a great hall where we must bow and scrape, rather God enthroned at a table, shaded from the harsh, unforgiving glare of the sun, a table which has been prepared for us, inviting us to draw near with faith...

to enter in to the eternal circle, where the gaze passes lovingly from one to another, and stretches out in overflowing love, to us and to the world beyond... Three figures united, God robed in blue the colour of divinity, the colour of the heavens... God robed in blue, wrapped in green. God the Holy Spirit...
Vibrant green, the energising colour of new life, restful green the colour of lush meadows and race courses, of relaxation and recreation...

The Spirits hand rests upon the table, earthing the the divine life of God, transforming all she touches.

The fountain of all holiness that will transform the gifts of Bread and Wine that they may be to us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. That will transform our lives. God robed in blue, wrapped in brown, with a stripe of gold. God the Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ...

Brown the colour of earth, of humanity, of soil and toil. Gold for a king, who was crowned with thorns...
The Christ rests two fingers on the table, laying upon it his divine and human nature, gesturing towards the cup.

The cup that is filled with wine, his blood that was poured out for us. God robed in blue, wrapped in shimmering, ethereal fibre. God the Father...

A shimmering ethereal, un-name-able colour, not visible to the human eye. The creator, who cannot be seen by his creatures.

The Father clasps his staff with both hands, The Father who holds all authority. But this authority is not grasped to himself. It is freely given to those whom he loves, to accomplish his good and perfect will. To the Son, to the apostles, authority which surrenders itself. Paradox. Three persons united in their love, for one another, and for us.

Three persons whom we know to be One God, met not as an object to be understood, but as a mystery to be loved, worshipped.

  • Three persons in one God! A difficult to understand topic made 'understandable.' Take a deep draught from this cup and "...know that I am God."

  • So helpful, so convicting...who would I deny an invitation to this table?...even just one is one more than God

  • a wonderfull video made and the music to thanks for sharing with me
