I don't think that this actress potraits anne as she should be, this is nothing compared to Megan Follows

I just feel this Anne doesn't have Megan Follows gentleness and calm assertiveness.

alright fair enough some of the acting is a little cheesy by today's standards but the budget was lower and this was in the 70's. Also, I have yet to hear any english accents. Im not sure why people keep saying that. Several of the acting schools teach what is called a mid-atlantic accent. It is intended to sound neutral to british and american audiences. That is more what I am hearing.

Well, this version was produced first and obviously Kevin Sullivan found ways of improving it. Kevin Sullivan was able to improvise and convey the message promptly through getting a better cast and setting of the Anne of Green Gables series. Besides we're all critics when it comes to choosing what version, we believe looks good and what doesn't. I guess we should be more optimistic because everyone has their own mind, flair and taste this is in terms of films.

@fracsred I agree but this version is still much better than the Sullivan one if you've seen it.. in that one they ruined everything and didn't stay loyal to the actual books at all!

it's a million times better than the horrible Sullivan's version but I still don't understand why they feel the need to change stuff from the actual plot! Roy proposed to Anne in the lil bower where they first met and there was no letter about her birth parents.. the actor who plays Roy kinda reminds me of the bad guy from one of the SAW movies lol.. anyways it's better than Sullivan but that's not a real achievement since the Sullivan movies SUCK.

ohhh this is like a horrible highschool play! sooo bad lol.. and they talk like they are in an old film from the 20's..just their tones.. it doesnt fit they are trying way too hard lol. and there's no music.. this whole thing has ZERO emotion!! bahaha omggg
