I had read that he continued working on this song for a while after the Coltrane recording. It's just great to hear how he developed in his ability to keep up with the chord changes.
fantastic! if people knew what Flanagan does with those complicated chords, progressing thru the keys in giant steps but making it feel the most comfortable form of progression (written for saxophon) they would certainly bow to such mastery. Very happy that I've got this vinyl LP!!
