  • Finally- I am a HUGE avaition lover and it's always bothered me how things run on petrol- based gas. People- were going to run out sometime and our dependancy on foreign oil is rediculous.

So now we can have a fun time flying knowing that the stuff powering your plane is renewable and clean burning!

  • What's the hold-up ? Ask your congressman... and follow the money trail to Big Oil Companies.

  • @fuckthawhales

slightly less than all off it the algae needs some carbon for its metabolic processes which is not converted to oil.

  • @cheng4PM all of it. the point is that that fuel was grown from carbon already in the atmosphere instead of releasing carbon stored undergorund in oil. Hence, overall it's a carbon neutral process

  • ok if somebody know this- please answer , i can't seem to get reliable info on this. so algae fuel is grown using waste carbon dioxide to speed the proccess up right? so how much of that carbon is released when the fuel gets burned? thanks

  • ITS alive

  • Great idea using a renewable, non-polluting fuel for the biggest user of petroleum.

I'm a bit concerned about the guy climbing to the top of the ladder and twisting around once he is up there. Every ladder I have ever looked at warned me NOT to stand on the top. SHEESH!

Alga has the potential to completely wean America off of foreign oil.

    WHAT'S THE HOLD UP?

At least this is a good start.

Glen Kertz of Valcent says 10% of New Mexico land can produce ALL the fuel we need. Check it out.
