Can you say JAZZ?? Dizzy Gillespie on trumpet and Joe Marsala on clarinet. Doesn't get any better than that. Enjoy!

  • Joe Marsala(my dad)admired Dizzy Gillespie and asked him to cut a few sides with him. Dizz was just 19 years old and beginning to experiment with his own personal style and Cliff Jackson, the great stride pianist on the date, commented on Gillespie during the set, "What's this guy doing, building a garage?!"
