@DAGDAsRevenge Yes but you see, that's not exactly true. To begin with, I just want to point out that I simply used Bill Gates as an example. I'm not trying to argue with you about Bill Gates' power. However, if you need an example of money being power, just look at oil companies. Who has the most say in politics? People or lobbyists? I think the answer is pretty clear. On the subject of Gates though, he actually is a genius. He was able to see the potential of products, that's why he's rich.

@DAGDAsRevenge I'm not sure what you're actually trying to say. If you're against religion, then we're on the same side, but if you're telling me money isn't power, then you are wrong. These days, money has become power. Have you heard the story about somebody asking Bill gates who he would vote for during the Clinton election? He said "why should I vote? I'm more powerful then the president". In America, Money is power.

Anyone want to join my fantasy paper football league?

@CommunityCam I for instance, do not like football, so why should I pay an increased tax for this bullshit? If they want to keep doing what they're doing, then they should raise the price of tickets. That way, people like you who like football can go and watch, so people like me don't suffer. Did you hear about the dome collapse in Minneapolis? I very mad the the NFL can't just work it out with all the money they make, instead, I have to pay for it. It's a game.

@DAGDAsRevenge BOEING has a partnership with the government, but the key word is OWN. The government does not own BOEING, BOEING simply makes airplanes in return for profit, and it's something the government needs. On the other hand, the NFL is an entertainment corporation that shouldn't need help from the government. With airplanes, the were designed for government use, but the NFL is football, something that we could all live without. If you want the NFL, then pay YOU pay for it, not taxpayers

@Jerrk64 Sorry, maybe I'm not in a position to talk about this, but last time I checked, Social Security is a federal run organization. It's not a company that somebody is profiting off of, it's a government service which we pay taxes for. Also, I know what socialism is, my parents lived in the USSR. It was a total disaster, so yes socialism is very bad.

@Rhino1115 Did I say that this was right?

@CommunityCam and banks are just companies, like any other company
but the government payed for those, they supported those corporations

It is so sad that anyone would even ASK or expect the President to discuss something as stupid as rich, grown men fighting over throwing balls around a field! The man is dealing with 2 wars handed over from earlier, an iffy economy... etc! I am, sadly, never amazed when people of the world think negatively about Americans.
why do we have to watching a fucking advert you money hungry cunt fucks.

WHO CARES? Guys, the NFL is a company, just like any other company. The government shouldn't be involved in this at all. Just because the NFL made a big name for itself and just because you like it, doesn't mean that the government should be paying for it. That's the fundamental problem with all of this. Sure you could argue that there will be worse players, worse games, strikes, etc. But that's not even relevant because the government should NEVER support a corporation. That would be socialism.
