  • This is a thrilling document of what indeed seems to be lost. Todays Sanjo-players say, the Master-Sanjos, which they play by heart are of better quality. I can't decide (I feel it is much more lively and has a happy feeling), but an improvised piece communicates spontaneity, which is a completely different experience for everybody. I can't believe, the ability of improvising sanjo cannot be recovered on the basis on the existing music. Please, dear Sanjo-players, think of that and work on that!
