Chavez does exactly what the "christian" kings of europe did. They took the authority of the chruch into themselves and became the monsters they did, because of their own self-righteous pride. henry VIII did it, and slaughtered thousands of innocent monks, who were on the verge of bringing forth the industrial revolution 200 years earlier. Elizabeth I did it and fostered hundreds of years of bigotry and hatred.

Chavez is no different. God help Venezuela.
