DC Dec 2, 2009: A pro-choice activist reads a personal letter from Tiffany Campbell of South Dakota. Why should health care include a full range of reproductive services? Because you never know when you'll need them. http://www.stopstupak.com http://www.www.trixiefilms.com
@ShaunaDDye How can you possibly say that hers is much more common and use that as a rationale for suggesting that other women should not have the right to make their own choices? One-third of American women will have an abortion in their lives and the vast majority do not regret them or have any ill effects either physically or psychologically as a result.

@ShaunaDDye How can you possibly say that "hers is much more common" and use that as a rationale for suggesting that other women should not have the right to make their own choices? 1 in 3 American women will have an abortion by age 45 and 80% do not regret their abortion at all.

@ShaunaDDye I think the point is that the law would have affected her, too, regardless of what the statistics are.

God bless you Tiffany!!! So many women have made the best, most responsible and moral choice for themselves and their families... it's great to hear them speaking out! Much love to any woman willing to end the stigma!

Saying that all abortion should be allowed because of this type of medical situation is like saying all murder should be legal because in the case of self-defense, many agree it's necessary.

Abortion advocates often share stories like this, but this type of abortion is not the norm. Most women choose to use abortion as birth control and kill their perfectly healthy babies. The decision is still agonizing for them. I know because 29 years ago, my mother-in-law had an abortion to kill her first child. It is the biggest regret of her life. Just another abortion story, but unfortunately, hers is much more common.
