Okay, so I just posted a video of me signing this song, and then I found this.

We used a lot of the same signs, but I thought I was doing ASL! Does that mean I was using PSE or SEE? (I don't really know a lot about the different kinds of sign language.)

But, on another note, this version is beautiful. :)

I believe in just signing the songs however you want to sign it because it matches on how YOU feel, not what the audiences feels...

In some ways, ASL is PSE, PSE is ASL...to me that is.

PSE is Pidgin-Signed English, a mixture of Signed Exact English with American Sign Language; as long it makes sense to you, it is fine, no one else should tell you how you should sign whatsoever. =) I'll have to look at your video someday whenever I get the chance to. =)

In your eyes it's SEE, in my eyes, it's a language thats still beautilful no matter what. Its PSE, not everyone is perfect. If you were in person with me you'd see that I sign both: SEE and ASL as a mixture. I am hard of hearing, so my speaking english does get in the way of ""so called perfect"" ASL, whereas there is no such thing because its rare. But I do know how to do sign completely ASL but I feel more into the song signing in PSE. So, its all the same, nothing's perfect. =) Thanks, Joshua

I do agree that ASL is beautiful and you're right no language is perfect. Although, PSE/SEE are not languages. ASL is because ASL has a specific structure and grammar. However, I do like your reasoning for signing PSE/SEE.

To me, PSE/SEE are languages. They've got structure and grammer as well. No different from ASL but only used differently. =)

the first song I ever did in ASL. Wow this brings back memories... :)

This is great. Definetally a fave.

I recomend though that you wear solid colored shirts. It helps to not get distracted.

But dont worry about that too much.
