I'm a strong believer in the ( age ÷ 2 + 7 ) calculation... For example! The youngest someone can date (without seeming overly creepy) when they are:

20 years old is ( 20 ÷ 2 + 7 = ) 17 years old

30 years old is ( 30 ÷ 2 + 7 = ) 22 years old

40 years old is ( 40 ÷ 2 + 7 = ) 27 years old

... and so on.
