@92NordicQueen You've just summarized my thoughts perfectly! I returned to the books yesterday and am in disbelief as to their categorization of children's novels. The circumstances are genuinely unpleasant to read, and the thematic elements are so mature. One implication I've noticed is that the line between "good and evil" is blurred, particularly when one's intentions are taken into accountability. A child can't understand that. But they're so wonderfully written; I adore them.

Is it weird I know all the words to this song?

And Lemony did the accordian. Joy.

the series of unfortunate event's stories are kinda beyond reality, the abilities of the kids and stuff but overall I'm a great fan of them, there's something special on these books, dark but pretty funny as well, addictive ;)

Love this song. Wish everyone would read the series so that they could enjoy this song as well.

The Series of Unfortunate Events saga is wonderful and comparable to Harry Potter in its greatness. It is so DEEP (I actually had to take breaks while reading because I got so distraught). Definitely not a series for young children. Or if you do read the series while young, I would advise reading it again when an adult. The audio books are awesome, too! Just like the Harry Potter audio books! You don't get everything from the story unless you read it AND listen to it! I think so, anyway!

@georgemillman Exactly. I think it helps being an actor to read books aloud like Tim Curry did.
-
@BubblegumMurder Yes, Tim Curry read books 1-2 and 6-13, and Lemony Snicket read 3-5 - that is why I was saying that I wish Tim read those three as well. Even the author admitted that Tim was better than him at reading them allowed. Lemony (Daniel) said in an interview that he found reading the audiobooks to be much more difficult that he expected, which was why he handed the job back to Curry after book five, commenting that he does a splendid job.

@georgemillman I believe Lemony Snicket read those, actually. I thought he was very good, he had a more eerie and sorrowful way of reading them. But Tim Curry did the narration voice in the video game for the movie.

Tim Curry was amazing at reading these, they were the best audio books ever;

The goal of Count Olaf is getting control of the fortunes of urchins and orphans, Hooray.
Those are some well written lyrics right there.
