Summer Storm in Garitsa Bay - Corfu

15 June 2011 started with a dull grey morning gradually turning into a hot and humid day, but nothing, including the weather forecast could prepare anyone for what was in store. Early evening the sky turned black and the winds started blowing leaves all over the place. Yachts anchored in the bay of Garitsa, normally safe during the summer months, were scrambling to secure anchors. But the storm lasted a mere 15 minutes to be followed by one of natures most impressive light shows I have ever witnessed.
