Amazing, sturdy gun. Way ahead of its time.
If you ever shoot this thing, you'd know why they used it in WW2. It feels powerful. You just don't want to the on the other end of it.

only 6 bullets?
8 are not?

@ytykg and even if they did hear iy Americans were equipment with a side arm for a reason
-
This video gives you a gread feel of what its like to shoot the garand, well done! I may just copy your idea :P

I don't know why you are still arguing this. If you are on a battlefield, and you are by yourself, you have FAR more to worry about than a ping sound 50 times quieter than your last gunshot. Both of which happened at the same time.
Have you ever been around a Garand actually being fired? If your beyond bayonet range you aren't going to hear that ping. Even without a battle roaring around you. The enemy is more likely to see you are out than to hear it.

@ytykg that is if you have a buddy..... showing that you are aout of ammo in any situation is bad news... regardless.
-
@TEMUJINARTS many of you imbeciles have never been in a war situation or close quarter combat situations so you havent got a fucking clue what it means to never show a sign that you may be out of ammo at ANY FUCKING TIME! as for my comment its valid and right and many who know what i am talking about will agree with this. Rest of you can fuck off and go back playing COD and other shit, which makes you think ure qualified to comment. Now fuck off.

@Ouija121085 damn u got made to look stupid...next time do some real fucking research, big mouth
-
you fucked that kraut hoover up! lol
@Ouija121085
If you ran out, and the enemy actually heard it over the roar of battle, your buddy would gun down the idiot that decided to stick his head up.
That is one of the worst urban legends about these. It simply didn't happen. If it did it was an isolated incident.
