Dr. Manhattan didn't save her because he simply doesn't care. Allow me to elaborate, he views humans as we view say, ants. We step on them, destroy their homes, and don't feel anything. Why? Because they are so inferior in strength and intellect that it doesn't affect us at all. Dr. Manhattan doesn't pity humans much like we don't pity ants, which is why I did not stop the Comedian from killing the woman. It's like watching two ants fight.

By the way ur "aggressive human nature" arguement is the same as ur monopoly arguement, trying gain a monopoly is done through aggression, and it is in human nature to want to be suprior! @AlkalineAjay I don't give a dam about philosophy, i'm just trying to say that the story has a hole in it.

They are trying to prevent a nuclear war saying stupid things about "aggressive human nature" but the only reason for war was the Dr.Manhattan himself. He ruined the balance of power.

The only way to prevent WW3 was to make soviet Dr. Manhattan.

So this movie is not about superheroes. Its about society when it gains monopoly on superweapon.

@tobBabashkin the soviets had almost no hand in vietnam other than intellectual sympathy. we were the only ones involved. not france (whose colony it was) or any other country. just us. and besides in the movie the united states was the only country with an actual SUPERhero (superman). the rest were just normal (batman) heroes

That's why he killed those vietnamese in the beginning. God wouldnt enter a war on one army's side.
