It blows me away that there is an HOV lane all the way on 14 from San Fernando to Palmdale. Are they really necessary during commute times or do they just clog up traffic in the #2 and #3 lanes like they do in outlying areas in the Bay Area?

I also never thought that there are so many cars on the freeways like in this video. Its great... no.... AWESOME! ;-)

@Gamerzde: Oh trust me, this is *nothing*, compared to the number of vehicles that use the freeways around inner Los Angeles. In fact, the two busiest sections of freeway in the U.S. are both located in the Orange County area of Greater Los Angeles (I-5 and I-405). US 59 in Houston is also right up there.
