Is this castle ruined in places? I read that it was minus its roof for many years. Is that why the woodwork looks to not have a finish on it? I'd love to go there, and to Harlaxton Manor - too bad Leap Castle was torched.

They are restoring Charleville Castle, the ground level is done as far as i know. the upper levels are still been worked on. It has a roof again :)

Leap castle is also restored, It is a private residents now but if you contact the owners they might give you a tour. Thanks for the comment :)

Phoenix2027...I thought the library was odd, too. I got the heebie jeebies in the library. That was the only room I felt uncomfortable in. I was there in April, 2009. My nephew was staying and working there. I was a tourist in Ireland at the same time he was there. We are both Americans.

I thought the music went well. I've seen a couple of very interesting tests showing orbs vs dust/moths/insects/reflections etc. and in every one they've found that it's impossible to reproduce a characteristic orb from any of those sources. Great video!

as I can recall, the reason the castle was built originally was because the guy who designed it wanted to build it on a Fae cross road so that way he could obtain the Fae's power... and he used to do occult rituals and stuff... but that's just what I heard, I could be dead wrong on that one.

Your absolutly right m8, that castle makes u feel so peaceful, I was on an investigation on the 6th Dec with PRAI, harriet`s staircase, The Libery and The Red Room. all very pieceful. altho the libery was alittle weird.

I'm sure there probably is something there There wouldn't be so many stories otherwise.Thanks for all the pics, I just wish we could see something other than orbs. As you've already pointed out, they can really easily be dust, reflections and so many other things.

stayed in the castle a while ago with some friends. have some interesting pics of around the staircase leading to the tower looks like a green moss finger print but i was using a polaroid so my finger was no where near the lense. weird things happened that night it was halloween. in the dungeon and on the staircase someone actually touched my head and noone was behind me and the same thing happened my cousin in the dungeon it was all caught on video but unfortunately my dad taped over it! oh wel
