Our Basset Hound, Charlemagne, was put to rest in Oct. of 2009. His lower back suddenly went out. An aggressive cancer/tumor on his lower spine was suspect. We tried everything to make him comfortable but he quickly became very ill and we had him put to rest...although he could not walk on his hind legs, he could wag his tail...even to the very last moment...I remember saying..."That's because his tail is attached to his heart". He Loved Everybody and Everybody Loved Him.

aww. sorry to hear about this..even thou its two years after. I saw the other videos of him and he looked a great dog:-) he looks like my hound.

Your video touched me so much. I, too, have lost a dog, it broke my heart when he died. I know that Oakley is in a better place and I hope my dog, Prince, is playing with him.

i'm sorry for your loss, i lost my brother last month, i always looked forward to hanging out with him because we were close, i miss him every day and i'm always thinking about him. R.I.P. bro.

First off I am sorry for your lost and I can truly emphathize with you as well. I left you a video a response of my basset's (Roscoe)memorial video and it is amazing how much Roscoe and Oakley look alike. They passed within days of each other too; no doubt these two have each other now to cause trouble! I miss my Roscoe...

Pooor poor Oakley. My aunt had a dog named Bert who was twelve and had heart failure... he got put to sleep yesterday. I burst into tears when I found out.
