I think these people have a really romantic, and over the top view of their city, but it's true, New York City does mean a lot to the world. I want to move there after Uni, and I'm only 16. It's an amazing place, and though it's expensive I can't think of a better place to live. Like John Lennon said "If I'd lived in Roman times, I'd have lived in Rome. Where else? Today America is the Roman Empire and New York [city] is Rome itself."

I had this dumb project on this video and I thought it would be one of those boring old videos, but I ended up liking it. (I think its because I'm a New Yorker and I like to be bragged about)
P.S. And yes, I am 12

omg i hate this its so boring i have to write bout it for hw:( plzz dont hate on me im 12
Thanks so much for posting all these episodes of this wonderful documentary. I remember watching it when it first aired in the fall of 1999, and I thought then, and still think, that it is one of he greatest documentaries I have ever seen. Ken Burns gets a lot of media attention, deservedly, for his his own great documentaries, but I think this effort by his brother is as great as anything Ken ever did.
