  • Ok, if you don't mind could you tell me what type of relays, and what battery regulator your are using, and what resistors did u use?, or if u could possibly get a schematic of how you wired everting to together, that would be awsome.

I really like this video it is really helpful.

  • @azrik21w automotive relays, its just a 12v battery regulator and schematic - i designed it myself, no guides or anything just a lot of google'ing etc, the specs of each part depend on how much power you want/need - mine has a limit of around ~160a (~2000w) provided i upgrade the psu's later

will be updating this project shortly - bit more power etc

  • Is your cap hooked up to the battery or is the cap not getting power until you hit a switch or something? i have a 20 farad cap so should i have a constant hot to the cap?

  • @azrik21w constant power to the cap would drain the battery more when not in use when my rig is off the cap is disconnected and the battery is connected and used to hold the settings for my head unit

when the unit is switched on it goes into charging mode for the cap (through a relay and resistors) until the voltage of the cap is acceptable

  • What are the purple and green wires for on 0:19 ?

  • @SpaceDowg91 there for power switches at the front to turn on the psu's (they go to the green wires essentially)

  • @7ngaf because that would be the easy way out, less fun, and half as cool

  • can you please post some sort of guide on how to do all this somewhere. i've been wanting to do this exact thing but didn't know how to incorperate a battery. right now i have my head unit powered off a little wall adapter and two amps powered off a single psu. not turning it up loud though so don't have to worry about power right now

  • @7ngaf oh and this cost me next to nothing and is not "messy"

  • @7ngaf i have a high end home amplifier and theatre sub - they dont stand a chance against this setup

  • why why why ...why go through all this just buy a home amplifier, this is plain messy and costly
