I think the bass might be allowed to have those clear melodic moments, and I'm also inclined to think there's a clear melody in the treble in the highest note usually and that it sounds nice to bring it out. Just my opinion then.
refine, refine, less flesh, more spirit, imagine the a foggy sunset over the mountains, it's all spirit, calm, even, the dissonances precisely balanced, the balance inside the chord should be much more even, the base whispering, the melody will emerge out of the poignant harmony like the hesitant sunrays out of the fog. chopin was not Russian. slavic sentimaentality & emotionality have no place here. be delicate and restrained still flowing freely & evenly, from the inner sources of your sou
