Datsun 280zx Idle and Rev.

My 1979 Datsun 280zx N/a. The car in this clip was currently running a sawed off pipe before the muffler. It is quite loud.

At least yours started. I had such high hopes for my loaded, metallic red '79 Z-car, but a month after I got it, it began having problems...every week something else screwep up....5 months later the engine block froze up and I gave it to Boys Town. From then on I never had another one. Now I just look at the photos of when it was new and chalk it up to NEVER BUYING A USED CAR ever, ever, again.!

I WISH mine would have started before. I put all my money and heart just into getting this thing running. I needed a new fuel pump, gas tank, fuel filter, oil, spark plugs, coil, AFM, Fuel lines, Interior parts, Rims and tires, etc, etc. Just remember not to give up on your projects. And plus, if this motor ever dies, I now have an excuse to throw a 350 SBC or an Rb26Dett in it.

yea they need parts, but this should be somewhat expected with cars pushing 30 years + . :-)

mine is no exception of course, but i agree with the v8 excuse etc hehe

sounds pretty nice ,i miss my L series nissans,i have to make do with a ca20e 85 bluebird,i think i might get another z car gotta love their driving position with your legs stretched out,love the cars
