  • when i was in Spain people told me that in 1942, at Germany peak power, Hitler went to speak with Franco and asked him to join to the war at Germany side. The reward to Franco half of France. Franco answered that the offering has not basis because he will loose the war. Franco told him that the Germany´s resources and man power are not match to the opposit side. Anybody can start a war, but nobody can be sure how it will finish. Reasigning resources to another front is the beggining of the end

  • You are insulting Germans, essentially calling them cowards. That is laughable. German soldiers have always been noted for their courage. Why don't you ask Russian veterans how easy it was to defeat German soldiers?

  • meProudToBeCaucasian, the germans were forced to fight under hitlers control otherwise they would be murdered and THEY NEARLY TOOK OVER THE WORLD, and you call them criminals, jheez

  • the beginning of the end was at brest litovsk - the germans were doomed to lose, so too their misbegotten culture. & the learned professor from ulster is a fool. the russians concepts of strategy & tactics transcend what some fool in ulster is capable of comprehending

  • @Marschieren no man killing civilians is cowardly, all germans on the east front were criminals.

  • @mobydick187 More like the liver without the Russians holding onto SOMETHING the Germans would have been able to rear up reinforcements in such an organized manner to combat the Russians breaking the Moscow siege line like Van Mansteins back hand blow THESE were those German resources Originally destined to hit Moscow from north instead they junked out Leningrad. Otherwise the Russians would have been outflanked and destroyed just like the German Armys ALWAYS being encircled! and Annihilated!

  • WW2 ended and I did not get a chance to wildly rape your pretty behind ... and that makes me so mad ...

  • @mobydick187 I agree. Losing Leningrad would not have meant much strategically. It wasn't a center of industry or agriculture. The southern front with the Ukraine was the most important for its food and mining.

  • @fredhubner Get over it freddy. The war ended over 60 years ago. You're an idiot for still holding grudges. Did some Nazi female guard toss your poor grandpappy into the oven or something?

  • "A hitherto unrecognised law of history, is that the side with the higher IQ normally wins, unless they are hugely outnumbered, as Germany was after 1942."

    - Professor Richard Lynn, University of Ulster, N. Ireland

  • What is your definition of 'brave'? On the Eastern Front, the German soldier, when faced with equal odds, was always victorious. Everywhere, when faced with fair odds, the Germans won. Germany was overwhelmed by superior numbers.
