This is a bout in the round of 16 in the Men's Sabre Individual event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Keeth Smart of USA is on the right and Aron Szilagyi of Hungary is on the left.

  • szilagyi certainly has better bladework and footwork, but keeth was killing him on the game. take a look at the touchs at 8:10, 8:27, and 10:08. keeth knew exactly what szilagyi would do all three of these touches and crushed him with timing. just because someone is more technical or has better footwork doesnt mean they are a better fencer

  • my faviorite part is when the american tests his "sword" by bending it half! at least this isnt as bad as epee fighting. Ive seen those won by a guy using the damn thing as a whip!
