The proposed copyright amendment has drastic changes that not only limits one's rights to privacy, but also the freedom of expression and communication.

  • I did not know that Canadians had more freedoms than the US.

I did not even know that Canada had its own culture.

    Thank G_d for youtube!

  • Using some one elses material is NOT Creating your own. You want to use some one elses hard work, for free? If you cant actually create your own, then find another line of work and dont take credit for the real artists. dont paint a mona lisa, and just give it another background... dont take credit, for what you didnt create. thats the AUSSIE way... If you use what some one else created, you are not a creator, you are not an artist, you are a THIEF using some one elses idea, taking their freedom

  • Welcome to the North American Union corporatism. All these new bills are not about money, its about control. RFID in passports, internet throttling, Gun bans, codex alimentarius. They want to continue where Hitler left off. Bill C-51 and the regulation of homepathic alternative medicine & the banning of vitamins and over the counter natural medication.

  • Im pulling for Canada.

  • Good points. I think at the top of the Copyright Act now, it states its purpose. The ammendments don't meet those stated purposes of protecting innovation and creativity. It's anti-creative, as you say.

  • Agreed! Prentice argues it's getting "into line with international standards". I wonder who decides these 'standards' he's referring to. Apparently it's the foreign big industries. As a software developer in Canada, I don't want this bill.

  • i support u, freedom for canadian!

  • Very well said!
