Hi guys, iam looking for your expertise as to why my honey bee V2 starts rotating at full throttle as soon as i connect the battery even though the controller is turned off, and the only way to shut it down is to disconnect the battery.its pretty dangerous as u could imagine. Any help would be much appreciated.

Very honest and helpful video, thanks. Lots of people think they're just going to buy a mini copter and fly it all over town on a windy day after 30 minutes of learning time. This is a big-time challenge hobby for the dedicated and that's one reason it's so cool. My opinion is most people should start with a cheap $30 copter and learn to master it in the living room (like the Syma S108G). Then if they still think the hobby is cool they can move up.

@nuttcaze I got the Walker V100D01 as first real FP. Is pretty difficult to fly after my 45 degrees flybar FP. Would it make sense to take the FP2 on the side for more stabile in the garden hover practice?? The Walkera is pretty agile. Maybe another one is a bit more "slow" ?

@nuttcaze Thank you for the suggestion. Is there a particular CP you have experience with, that you can highly recommend? I believe you praise the Eksy 600 as an amazing kit, but is there something a little more simple?

You have probably already found this out by now, but just in case you haven't, the TRN switch is the Trainer switch. The Honeybee v2 comes with a flight simulator cd which you load onto your computer, and a cable to connect your controller to your pc. When the Training swich is on, you can fly your virtual Honeybee using the real controller, but the controller is not transmitting and running down the batteries. It just gives you a head start before flying the real model.

@tacos4u632 the trainer i think is if you want someone else to connect that persons radio with yours. So he can take over the controls using his radio if youre about to crash :)

what is TRN-> switch do????? ive been clicking it forever and the heli just jumps for a split second and goes back off, nothing really happens so im wondering wat its for

i have recently bought 1 of theses as my old honey bee deid ( as in the receiver caught fire mid flight and fell from a good 30ft up and spun it self to bits) just to any 1 wanting to start flying is take your time as is it takes time to master .. to repair my old heli it would of cost £195 just to rebuild it so it can be expensive but i would recomend the honey bee v2 as its great value for money .. and thi video has some great tips ...
What's a reliable site to purchase this helicopter atm? Almost everyone's out of stock for a while now.

@coontakintei - actually, I think you should get the Walkera V200D02 if you want an FP to learn on before going to a CP heli. But if you think you're gonna stick with an FP for any length of time get the V200D01 as it has a longer life span and is more powerful but costs considerably more, and thats why I recommend the D02. Besides, FP's are mainly trainer helis anyways.
