She does reach people just maybe not you. And this bubble gum song 'devoid of purpose or meaning' is (correct me if im wrong) about a child in a cancer unit in a hospital she witnessed, all lyrics very relevant and meaningful and i personally through my experiences relate to it very well. Some of her songs are bubble gum type songs but not this one. You seem more interested in the technicalities of the vocals and i think you have missed the point.
