  • I'm still trying so hard to like Megadeth (and there are a few hits) but I cannot get INTO them yet. It has zero to do with being a massive Metallica fan....why wouldn't I want two badass bands I'm addicted to?

Someone PM a Top 10 I should listen to over and over - I know their biggest hits (Hangar, Symphony) - something outside of those maybe? Die Dead Enough was ok but didn't make me want to thrash like Shortest Straw, Creeping Death, or Four Horsemen (my fav song he had a hand it).

  • You know, I had the same thing with Metallica. I just couldn't get into them no matter how hard I tried. Suddenly everything just clicked and I understood what Metallica was all about. It wasn't until Death Magnetic I started to like them and suddenly Master of Puppets sounded great too even though I originally thought it was one of the most overrated metal albums ever.

  • @supersaxophone1 Well I did exactly as I said I would, I just played their discography over and over. In that time "Back in the Day" and "Dialectic Chaos" found their way onto my iPod. I love the message of "Back in the Day", absolutely. As for the musical aspect, it has plenty of change-ups and Mustaine's vocals are actually pretty good. I did come to like more than those two for sure, they just stick out to me.

  • @JPhinfan86 So how do you like them now? XD Its been a while

  • @JPhinfan86 same ive liked metallica for a while and tried to listen to megadeth but couldnt. First song i liked was This day we fight. Then i thought stuff it, and went and bought there greatest hits album, started to like their songs from there. I bought the album endgame which has heaps of awesome songs and now i have 4 of their albums. This is all in one week haha. Listen to 44 minutes, 1320, polaris, endgame, this day we fight to start. They were my first few fav songs.

  • @MattMack69 Yea that and chosen ones

  • @JPhinfan86 mmk

    Killing is my business

    Peace sells

    Good mourning black friday

    Devils island

    Set the world afire

    These boots (crazy intro solo)

  • @JPhinfan86 try listening to Endgame and Rust in Peace. They are 2 of the best Megadeth albums and alot of their most consistant stuff is on those 2 albums

  • @JPhinfan86 Dude all i have to say is megadeth - mechanix

  • @JPhinfan86 You are a faggot

  • @JPhinfan86 Dude, Megadeth and Metallica were the easiest bands to get into for me. I suggest you just listen to "Rust in Peace" (Album). Trust me, those riffs will get stuck in your head, I can't even decide which album is better "Rust in Peace" or "Master of Puppets". Well, you posted that comment 7 months ago, so who knows where you currently are.
