If any of this is legitimate, The religion of Christianity I mean, then I could very well see the Devil manipulating this family to behave this way in the name of God. Unfortunately it is. The god in the old testament is exactly like the WBC says: vengeful, homophobic, violent. And while Jesus sent a message of love and tolerance, christianity itself was not exactly kind and tolerant. Homosexuality was a severe crime up until the last decades, often punished with death, and everything that strayed fron the official christian doctrine was severely punished untile the first reforms back to martin lutero's time.
