There's no question that Michael Jackson is, in my opinion and obviously yours, a better performer and artist. But that doesn't limit Elvis' showmanship one bit. They're in totally different leagues. Michael Jackson being way, way, way farther ahead of the curve than Elvis.

He didn't write any of his songs. A black man did it and died poor. What a shame. White people like black music but they prefer a white person to sing it. Give me a break. Elvis was a performer. Michael created and performed his music.

He was a crazy singer who revolutionised dance and the music industry and was one of the best and most successful entertainers in the world in a world where colour still mattered. And no, he didn't cure cancer, but he gave buckets and buckets of money toward making cancer patients happy and finding a cure. So yah... that's why we aren't over it yet.
