In addition, this (from "Bret Gives Up the Dream") is the best of the 3 versions of "Rock the Party" (also seen in "What Goes on Tour" and "New Fans"). No offense to the absent Bret, but Jemaine gets a huge crowd (more than 3) and "blew the Aussies out of the water." I wouldn't call this performance "uninspired."

Yeah--I guess any performance that has a fan wearing a backpack, rocking back and forth...almost in synch with the music...might be considered inspirational. But then again, the victory over the Aussies was rather shortlived (about 4 seconds or so).

Is this the only song they've ever performed on the show... like as -the band-? (Hope that made sense...)

No--they perform at least a couple songs during each episode. This is an excerpt from one.

I mean.... that -they- as Flight of the Conchords, the band (not Fotc, NZ's forth most popular folk comedy duo) preformed in the show... Oh, this is hopeless... I'm sorry I can't make anymore sense. :/

Yeah--they perform sometimes as the band in the show. It's usually very uninspired, and hence gets some laughs for being so pathetic. During one performance they spent most of their allotted time tuning their instruments.
