Rich chilli con carne with spiced butter from Heston and Waitrose

Adding the spiced butter to the chilli just before you serve it will make it rich and unctuous. If you like it a bit hotter, add a little more butter at the table when you add the grated cheese and sour cream. The lime juice and zest will finish it off with acidity and freshness.

I am so glad for this advertisement, it directed me to this recipe, which is his "easy version." The original one takes a lot more ingredients, time and effort. If the easy version was so succulent, I can't even imagine how the original version tastes like. I am sure is a total feast of the senses.

I tried this recipe today. I had to substitute the "piquillo peppers" for another sweet red pepper since we don't have Waitrose in Canada, but it was a TOTAL SUCCESS!!!
