When a modal verb such as "will," "should," or "might" is used with with the main verb "do," it means that something is okay, or something is possibly okay.

  • Now I am confused and I have a question. So if I intend to do something but not sure if I will can do, I shouldn't say "should do" but "should to do"?

  • @EgleFig -- Well, you can't use "to" with "should." This video shows a very specific instance when do is used. And don't use an object after the main verb as would normally with "do." So when someone says, "It will do," that means "It's okay." I realize this is kind of a strange thing way to use the verb "do."

  • I have a question what do you mean by sub? I hope you answer me.

    thank you prof

  • @drbandar -- A sub is a sandwich. It's short for "submarine." A submarine sandwich is a big sandwich. The Subway franchise has a good deal on sandwiches going on for December here in the United States. You can get a sandwich for $2.00. That's what I was thinking about when I made the video--a sandwich.
