The Friends of Signal Hill Cultural Arts (FOSHCA) held a family artmaking workshop at Discovery Well Park on Sunday, March 8, 2009. We had over 50 participants enjoy our pointillism art project that was organized by Project Oasis. Our pointillism project had the kids utilize a series of dots to present an image. By definition, Pointillism is a postimpressionist school of painting exemplified by Georges Seurat and his followers in late 19th-century France, characterized by the application of paint in small dots and brush strokes.
